Descripción: The translation of this volume into English—originally published in Spanish in 2024 by Consejo Latinoamericano de Ciencias Sociales/Ariadna Ediciones—seeks to make a significant part of Latin American eidetic production on international and global issues available to English-speaking academic communities. More than a simple expansion of readership, this initiative forms part of an effort to reposition a body of intellectual elaborations that have often remained in marginal positions within broader circuits of knowledge production and legitimation. In this sense, it entails a displacement toward a new space of circulation in which the text becomes exposed to different regimes of intelligibility, validation, and interpretation.
